Dear Whitney, Don and Michael…
You all left too soon. Why??? You all inspired many generations and taught mine in particular to find our voice. The “Soul Train” allowed us to dance and explore “The Greatest Love of All”. We looked past “Black & White* and now, with you all gone, we can only “Remember the Times”. There were times that we all said “I Have Nothing” and yet… we found ways to become “So Emotional” and “Dance With Somebody”. You gave us lots of reasons when you all told us to believe and be.
I have to ask you all… why did you all teach us these things and yet… let yourselves be overtaken with such darkness? What happened? Can you all ever show us why or did you and we missed the signs? Why inspire us and yet turn around and cut your own lives short through various means? Or was it just “Human Nature” to destroy ones self?
We’ll never know your reasons, but we will always respect you for the good that you all did. Much love to you all.
We’ll miss you all. We’ll always have the music and DVD’s but still… it’s not the same.
